'Aja' by Steely Dan - Wed, Nov. 8, 9pm

Steely Dan released their sixth studio album on September 23, 1977. The new work, titled Aja (pronounced Asia), ultimately became Steely Dan’s best selling album. Over 40 different musicians were brought in by Donald Fagen and Walter Becker to produce the silky jazz rock masterpiece.  The album is listed on Rolling Stone’s "The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time" and is also included in the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die. Due to its high production standards Aja is also frequently used as a reference point for audio engineers.  How many albums can say that?

Whatever Fagen and Becker set out to achieve, one must feel that they accomplished it.  Or did they? Join “Album Night” on Wednesday, Nov 8 to listen and voice your opinion!
