'American Recordings' by Johnny Cash - Wed, Apr. 11, 9pm EDT

This is Johnny Cash's first album with the American Recordings label. It was produced and recorded (except the two live tracks) by Rick Rubin in his living room. It's a really stripped down album with just vocal and guitar. Truly authentic Johnny Cash!  Released on April 26, 1994, it was reportedly Johnny's 81st album.

Here's the track listing with the writer in parentheses:

.) "Delia's Gone" (Johnny Cash, Karl Silbersdorf, Dick Toops)
.) "Let the Train Blow the Whistle" (Johnny Cash)
.) "The Beast in Me" (Nick Lowe)
.) "Drive On" (Johnny Cash)
.) "Why Me Lord" (Kris Kristofferson)
.) "Thirteen" (Glenn Danzig)
.) "Oh, Bury Me Not" (Introduction: "A Cowboy's Prayer") (John Lomax, Alan Lomax, Roy Rogers, Tim Spencer)
.) "Bird on a Wire" (Leonard Cohen)
.) "Tennessee Stud" (live at The Viper Room, West Hollywood, 3 December 1993) (Jimmy Driftwood)
.) "Down There by the Train" (Tom Waits)
.) "Redemption" (Johnny Cash)
.) "Like a Soldier" (Johnny Cash)
.) "The Man Who Couldn't Cry" (live at The Viper Room, West Hollywood, 3 December 1993) (Loudon Wainwright III)
