'Innervisions' by Stevie Wonder - Wed, Aug. 30, 9pm

This 1973 release by Stevie Wonder is generally considered his crowning achievement. Yes, he’s released many brilliant songs and brilliant albums, but on Innervisions he strays from his bread and butter love songs to tackle the social issues of his time. Indeed (and sadly) many of those issues still resonate today.  Regardless of the transcendent nature of the lyrics though, this is an album that would surely pass the test of time.  And what is even more impressive than just the final product is the fact that Wonder wrote, produced and arranged all the tracks. Oh yeah, and he played a majority of the instruments too (in addition to doing almost all of the vocals parts of course also).

Join “Album Night” on August 30th at 9pm for a closer look at this 1973 classic Innervisions by the then 23rd year old Stevie Wonder.
